Hanging Rock State Park

Hanging Rock Trail is the most popular trail in the park because the short walk leads to outstanding views. After enjoying the panorama, leave the crowds and continue to Wolf Rock and Cook’s Wall, where you’ll discover new views of Sauratown Valley and majestic Big Pinnacle in Pilot Mountain State Park.

Trailhead: From Winston-Salem, take US 52N to exit 114/NC 8 north. After 23.5 miles, turn left on Hanging Rock Rd. (SR 2015). Drive 1.7 miles to the park
entrance. Once in the park, make a left at the four-way intersection toward the visitor center and Hanging Rock Trail
