Wesser Bald
This hike takes you up to the Wesser Bald Tower. On the way up, you are walking on the old A.T., which has good spring wildflowers.
Start at the Wesser Creek Trailhead [blue blazed] and follow the creek up a deep cove to the A.T. From here, take the A.T. trail south to the Wesser Bald Tower for outstanding 360 degree views.
Turn around and hike the A.T. trail north down to U.S. 19 and Nantahala Outdoor Center. The hike starts at about 2,440 ft. and reaches a high point on the tower at Wesser Bald at 4,683 feet.

Trailhead: From the Nantahala Outdoor Center (NOC) on U.S. 19 in Wesser, drive 0.9 miles north and turn right on Wesser Creek Road. Drive about 1.9 miles to the end of the road.
