Cold Mountain

The hike starts on the Art Loeb trail and goes up to Deep Gap. From Deep Gap, we make a left turn onto the Cold Mountain trail. The top has an outstanding rocky top with views out to Shining Rock. Since the hike is in a Wilderness Area, there are no signs or trail markers.
Only people with a good map, compass and the know-how to use both should hike this mountain by themselves. Others should go with a hiking club and an experienced leader.
