Hospital Rock - Jones Gap State Park - Falls Creek Falls

fallscreek72.jpgThis is a very strenuous hike because of the footing and rocks. Don't let the low mileage fool you.

Place one car at the Palmetto Bible Camp and another at Jones Gap State Park.

Take Hospital Rock Trail [#30 - orange blazes] following the paved walkway. After Hospital Rock, a large rock shelter, make a sharp left to stay on the trail. At the intersection with the Cleveland Connector, turn right. Then keep left and follow the stream. Watch for sharp left to Falls Creek Trail [#31- also orange]. After 0.5 miles, cross the Falls by following the cables across and up. Good views and outstanding waterfall.
